Sinterklaas
At Sinterklaas we were hold up at the hospital. The blood for my transfusion arrived 4 hours late, so we were home too late to celebrate with the kids. We were prepared, so we had had presents in the morning already.
Around seven I had Katy on the phone. Sinterklaas had came by again and had knocked on the windows. When she opened the door there was a huge canvas bag with presents. ‘There is also a present for you, dad’, she said cheerfully.
It came as a total surprise. When we finally got home, Jenn got crazy reading her poem and trying to find out who did this.
In the last poem were the clues. Some fraternity friends had driven by. Katy and I went through the Children song book with piano chords. Jenn and I have been watching ‘As good as it gets’. I haven’t laughed as much in a long time.
That was a good therapy.
